Who should attend

The course is designed to give delegates a basic knowledge of how to administer First Aid, and therefore meet the HSE (First Aid) Regulations.  The delegate will become ‘The Appointed Person’ within the workplace.

Course Content

By the completion of the course, the students will have reached the following objectives:

1. Priorities of First Aid & personal safety
2. Contents of HSE approved first aid kit
3. Incident management
4. Unconscious casualty
5. Cardio pulmonary resuscitation – CPR
6. Bleeding and shock
7. Choking
8. Reporting and recording of all incidents as required by the HSE
9. Burns and scolds
10. Sprains and strains
11. Fractures
12. Chest Pain – Heart attack
13. Stroke
